Kami Bricker, MSW, LICSW

Clinical Therapist

Pronouns: she/her

Background, Education, and Experience:

My desire to become a therapist grew from my interest in human behavior and personal experiences, including helping a loved one navigate the behavioral health system during a mental health crisis. That experience gave me a firsthand understanding of how important it is for people reaching out for help to be met with compassion and respect.

I earned a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Washington State University Tri-Cities and a Master of Social Work degree from Walla Walla University. I am a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) in Washington State.

My experience includes working with children, teens, and adults with complex mental health needs in community mental health. I have experience working in the Wraparound with Intensive Services (WISe) program, providing intensive behavioral and mental health services to children and teens. I have also worked in outpatient therapy, providing services to people of all ages.

Therapeutic Orientation and Treatment Modality:

My goal is to create a space where you can be yourself, talk openly, and feel accepted without judgment. I work from a person-centered, trauma-informed approach and primarily use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), while also incorporating motivational interviewing (MI) techniques when appropriate. I try to make our work fit your needs, rather than asking you to fit into a particular approach. Some people want more practical tools and structure, while others need space to talk, process, and make sense of what they’re going through.

Although I have experience working with a range of ages, I especially enjoy working with teens and adults. I also enjoy working with neurodivergent and LGBTQIA+ clients and strive to create a space where people can be themselves and feel understood. My hope is that therapy feels like a place where you can be honest, feel supported, and build confidence in yourself and your ability to navigate life’s challenges.

I work with individuals navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, life stressors, and transitions.
