About Me
I earned my Master of Social Work from Walla Walla University in June 2025, after completing my Bachelor of Science in Psychology there in 2023. I am currently practicing under my LSWAIC (Licensed Social Work Associate Independent Clinical) license in the state of Washington. During my undergraduate studies, I worked as a Behavioral Health Navigator at Blue Mountain Health Cooperative and have been part of the team at Anchor Point Counseling since 2022. Starting in an administrative role, I gradually transitioned into clinical work, which has provided me with a well-rounded perspective on how to support clients both inside and outside the therapy room. My practicum training included work at both Anchor Point Counseling and College Place Public Schools. At Anchor Point, I supported families involved with DCYF by providing parenting education through evidence-based programs. My work focused on empowering families to strengthen their relationships and navigate challenges with resilience and support. At Davis Elementary School in College Place, I offered school-based counseling and play therapy in the on- site mental health clinic, working with children facing behavioral, emotional, and social challenges. These experiences deepened my passion for working with youth. I mainly work with children, adolescents, and young adults, and I value building strong therapeutic relationships based on trust, empathy, and mutual respect. My approach is holistic, relational, and person-centered. I believe each person is the expert in their own life and has the ability to heal and grow within themselves. My role is to walk alongside clients, helping them recognize their inner strengths, explore new perspectives, and find solutions already within their reach. I aim to create a warm, safe, and collaborative space where clients feel truly seen and supported. The main interventions I use are Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy, and Play Therapy, tailoring each session to the client’s unique needs. When working with children, I often use Child-Centered Play Therapy, which allows kids to express themselves and process emotions through their natural language of play. I take a non-directive approach that trusts the child’s innate drive for growth and healing. During this process, I create a consistent and supportive environment where the child can feel in control and accepted just as they are. Additionally, during the spring, summer, and fall months (weather permitting), I offer Equine-Assisted Therapy as an option for clients. This involves interacting with horses to promote emotional regulation, self-awareness, connection, and confidence in a supportive, natural outdoor setting.
