Education, Training, and Experience

I graduated with a Master of Education degree in School Counseling from Liberty University in 2021. This degree included the credentials for a LMHCA. During my graduate program, I worked in the Counseling and Testing Center at Walla Walla University, serving college students online as they struggled through the loneliness of the pandemic and related stressors such as anxiety and depression.

Throughout my graduate program and during my years as a school counselor, I have supported the academic and social emotional development of elementary and middle school students. This work is meaningful as it allows for extra care to be given to the multiple facets of a growing child in the school setting. I will now bring that level of compassion to support people of all ages in the Walla Walla community at Anchor Point Counseling.

I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor Associate in the State of Washington (License # MC 61441337).

My Treatment Modality and Theoretical Orientation

I believe in empowering my clients to align their thinking and choices to the path that they desire and in supporting each client’s optimal physical, spiritual, and mental well-being. I approach the issues clients face with a bio-psychosocial model by considering the impact of their environment and other influential factors. I also respect the cultural values of my clients and their families and welcome open and honest discussion that invites reflection and growth.

In my work, I partner with clients to identify their goals and match my approach to best reflect their needs. I typically utilize methods from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Person-Centered Therapy, and Narrative Therapy. However, I believe therapy is often a combination of adjusting mindset, approach to life, and self-acceptance.
